In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus shared the Beatitudes—eight revolutionary statements declaring who is truly blessed in God’s Kingdom.

1. Blessed are the Poor in Spirit

Being poor in spirit means recognizing our total spiritual bankruptcy without God. Humility opens the kingdom of heaven to our hearts.

2. Blessed are the Pure in Heart

Purity of heart means seeking God with single-minded devotion. Jesus promises that the pure in heart shall see God!
